One of the most anticipated events on London’s techno calendar returns next month. Drumcode’s annual Halloween parties have become synonymous with the finest quality line-ups gracing the capital, all framed with top-rate production to ensure a full sensory assault for all those in attendance, plus plenty of wicked surprises along the way.
Building on the success of past events that still get talked about to this day, LWE and Drumcode are taking it up a notch in 2013.
For the first time in the event’s history, Adam Beyer will be headlining both rooms showcasing everything he loves about house and techno and reinforcing the deft musical approach that has seen Drumcode and his more house-orientated sub-label Truesoul remain at the top of the chain for so long. Whether it’s in the studio or behind the decks Adam shifts a vibe like no other, and consistently pushes the boundaries of techno to its limits with each Drumcode release.
Joseph Capriati is undoubtedly enjoying his strongest period to date, as he continues his unstoppable ascent up the world techno ranks in 2013. Already this year he has completed his first all-conquering coast-to-coast tour of the US, played a sold out 12-hour set at the revered 7000 person Metropolis in his hometown of Napoli and sealed his world-beating for by demolishing Amnesia every fortnight, as the most booked resident at Marco Carola’s Music On in Ibiza.
Ida Engberg the sublime, versatile DJ talent who has continued her elevation through the electronic music ranks with an extensive production catalogue including releases on both Drumcode and Truesoul and touring schedule that sees her zig-zag across the globe on a weekly basis. Her sound has come along way, giving her a distinctive slant within the realms of house and techno, that’s garnered fans across the 4/4 spectrum.
Alan Fitzpatrick has become a staple at Drumcode lineups across the globe thanks to his high energy off-the-wall approach to mixing rolling techno and deft production skills. Tracks such as last years smash ‘Skeksis’ are still permanent features at techno events worldwide and his recent bombs ‘In The Beginning’ and ‘Memesis’ completed with Beyer are cherry ripe for demolishing the dingy surrounds of Great Suffolk Street Warehouse.
Nicole Moudaber is another who’s enjoyed her finest year, with the release of her maiden album ‘Believe’ on Drumcode and the launch of her own imprint MOOD. She’ll hit Drumcode’s Halloween event on the back of arguably her finest Ibiza season to date, where here flawlessly executed sleazy house and techno sounds are sure to be an unstoppable force.
Reset Robot is a name that will be increasingly familiar to fans of dubbed-out, moody tech house all over the world. Hailing from the South Coast of England there is now a consistent clamor from the techno fraternity to snap up his latest tracks
We’ve always been one to go full-on when it comes to Halloween and this year is no exception… We have wheeled the zombies out from the vaults and back into their cage having spent all year drooling in the dark. We’ll have CO2 canons, a spooked out laser and an spine tingling lighting show in the main room and in the second arch we’ll be dressing the stage with an amazing halloween set. Plus we’ve got a few other tricks and treats hidden away in the LWE cauldron, but you’ll have to wait until the night for the rest…
